LeEco, Coolpad to launch smartphone with Snapdragon 821 processor
LeEco and Coolpad are jointly working on a new smartphone said to be launched in China. Rumoured to be called Cool 1S, the smartphone will be the flagship device and run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 processor.
According to earlier rumours, the device will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system topped with LeEco's EUI 5.8. Cool 1S will likely sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display, 4GB RAM and come in 32, 64 and 128GB of internal storage options.
The smartphone is expected to feature 16MP rear camera with LED flash, an 8MP front camera for selfies and pack a 4,000 mAh battery. As for colour options, the device is said to come in Gold, White, Silver and Blue colours.
Last month, LeEco-owned Coolpad expanded its Cool series with the launch of Cool Charger 1C in its home country China.
Cool Charger 1C flaunts a 5.5-inch Full-HD display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution. Under the hood, it's powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in 32GB/64GB storage options, both of these are non-expandable.
It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system topped with LeEco's EUI layer. The dual-sim smartphone has dual 13MP rear camera setup with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF and 4K video recording capability. It also has an 8MP wide-angle front camera for better selfies.
On connectivity front, Cool Charger 1C offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type-C. The phone has a 4,060mAh battery with fast-charging support. Cool Changer 1C comes in Silver colour and is priced at 899 yuan.
