Huawei releases major software update for Mate 9 smartphone

Huawei is rolling out a major software update to its Mate 9 smartphone, days before its European release. The update to the build B126 takes care of the notification bugs and improves performance.

According to a report on AndroidCentral website, the smartphone's global dual-SIM version is receiving a prominent update with respect to notifications being displayed in white text, rendering them unreadable. It also displays app icons at the top left corner of the screen for notifications. The earlier build showed just a number next to the app icon.

Apart from the update mentioned above, the report also claims that the camera on board the Mate 9 will see significant improvement with the addition of a 6X hybrid zoom and a tweak to the interface to snap up to 2X zoomed images as well. Along with these, its workability under low-light conditions has also increased with changes to colour accuracy as well.
