This is how the Moto X (2017) might look like

Recently, a complete 2017 roadmap of Motorola was leaked online. It mentioned several new future handsets, including the 2017 variant of the Moto X. And now, few images of the rumoured smartphone have popped up online.

Shared by Techdroider website, the images show the purported handset from the front and back.

If the images are to be believed, the Moto X (2017) will feature a rear camera setup similar to the one found on the company's recently launched Moto Z and Moto Z Play smartphones. That said, there's a slight design change at the top and the bottom. The power and volume buttons are visible on the right side.

From the front, the rumoured handset appears like the Moto M that recently launched in China. There's a physical home button below the display as well, along with 'Moto' branding on top.

Besides the Moto X (2017), next versions of some other Motorola handsets like Moto Z, Moto G, Moto X, Moto M, Moto E and Moto C may also launched next year. It has been reported that Motorola will manufacture the next generation Moto Z and Moto G, while Lenovo will make the 2017 editions of Moto X, Moto M, Moto E and Moto C. A third party ODM may also be involved in the manufacture of Moto E and Moto C.

Motorola recently launched the Moto M in China. The handset, listed on Chinese e-commerce website Tmall, bears a price tag of 1,999 Yuan (around Rs 19,600).

In terms of specifications, the Moto M features a 5.5-inch Full HD display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution. The dual-SIM handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P15 CPU paired with a 4GB RAM and 32GB of on-board storage.

For imaging duties, the handset has a 16MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus and dual LED flash. There's also an 8MP selfie-shooter on board. The smartphone is backed by a 3,050mAh battery with support for fast charging.
